Apparently, if you have a mole, though, you're all the same to the NOPD.
As usual, the police were ok with presumed frontier justice handling things that their force of 1,300 can't, even if we know that one killing begets another and another, with innocents just as likely to step into that chain. So if that's the careless "technique" of the police, I suppose there's no surprise that one mole is as good as another, and one young man in the morgue solves the problems caused my another who's a one-man crime wave.
And if the dead man's mother hadn't been persistent, would we all be sleeping a touch more soundly in the false belief that a killer was dead?
